There are 3 main types of documents you should view and check regarding your insurance:-

  1. Policy Wordings (sometimes called Product Disclosure Statement or PDS) - A document issued by your insurer describing the cover, conditions, terms, definitions, etc provided to ALL policyholders who have purchased this type of policy. This, together with the Proposal Form, will form the insurance contract you have entered into with the insurer.

  2. Policy Schedule - The list and description of details such as the period of insurance, sums insured, limits, conditions, exclusions and excesses etc issued by your insurer in particular to YOUR cover..

  3. Coverage Summary - A brief summary of your cover sent to you together with your invoice.  It serves as a guide to help you understand the Policy Wordings and Policy Schedules.   As a summary, it does not replace nor attempt to fully represent what is contained in your insurer’s policy wording or policy schedule.
