Why should you read your Policy Wording and the Policy Schedule?
A Policy Wording describes the terms and conditions in which coverage is provided by your insurer. It tells you what are covered and what are not covered; definitions of terms used in the Wording; limitations and claims procedure.
A Polcy Schedule describes who is covered, what is covered, the year-to-year sum insured, limits, extensions, conditions and exclusions. These two documents, together with the original Proposal you submitted at the start of the cover, form the basis of the insurance you acquire. Therefore it is wise and essential to read them carefully to make sure that you have got the cover you wanted.
